Self Reliant-India
Self Reliant India is the road for making India a global power house and making India a super power. For making this a reality the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi launch, Make In India campaign with motive of making India self reliant. In this campaign government is trying to promote more production of goods and services in India for lowering the India's total import.
After independence India is heavily depended upon imports to full fill its needs but slowly things started to change, but after 73 years of independence still India's total import is more than export.
The goods for which India is depended on other countries are especially defence equpiments and Petroleum products.
Research shows that the countries who are self reliant in these two fields are the global super powers, the best examples are USA & Russia. These two countries are the biggest exporters of arms in the entire world and holds 1st and 2nd position respectively in producing petroleum products followed by Saudi Arabia.
The Indian government is trying to focus more on defence part and for this they are promoting local manufacturers like DRDO and HAL, government even banned the procurement of 101 defence products from foreign countries.
For success of Make In India people also need to give their contribution, by purchasing more Indian products which help to grow local players & local players should try to give quality products to customers at minimum price possible.
Best e.g of Indian companies challenging foreign companies as well helping Indian economy as self reliant are, Tata, Reliance Industries,Wipro, Infosys and Patanjali.
So we need to give our individual contributions to make India Self reliant and a global super power.
